michael and i had a busy, busy weekend moving into our house in greensboro. then on sunday our new niece arrived! so of course we had to jump in the car and drive to atlanta to see her. mallory laine jamison was born on sunday, august 14, 2011 at 9:40am. she weighed 8lbs. 1oz. both mom and baby are doing great - in fact they are already home after just having her yesterday! megan is a trooper!

sold

last friday i closed on my condo in birmingham. it was bittersweet as it was my first home purchase and i am leaving birmingham but also so great to have sold it. after work today i am headed to greensboro (yes, AL) to move into our rental house this weekend. i am really excited about it because: 1) michael and i will finally be in the same town – not to mention the same house, and 2) looking forward to the slower pace of life in a small town. it will definitely be an adjustment!

my car loaded down - headed to closing. {yes, still couldn't bare to get rid of the vasque boots circa 1997}.

i absolutely despise packing and moving so i am already ready for the weekend to be over and settled in. more to come from our new home.

tripp is 2!

on saturday michael and i drove to atlanta to celebrate tripp’s birthday. the theme of the party was “little man” {suspenders, bow ties, mustaches, glasses, etc.}. as usual, megan had every detail covered.

my favorite show at my favorite ranch {where our reception was}!? probably won't happen, but still pretty neat.

wedding day!

i slept horribly the night before the wedding so i was awake at 3:30am ready to go. mom and i headed to the ranch around 7am to check out the tent and drop off the linens and liquor. i had prayed for no rain for months but didn’t even think about WIND. it was sooo windy the cocktail tables were being blown over. then the sound equipment arrived and it seemed like it would take up the entire tent. so we were freaking out. what should have been about an hour turned into 4 trying to figure everything out. in the end we just left and let the caterer figure it all out. so then we were super rushed to take showers and grab something to eat before leslee anne arrived to do hair and makeup. i was a little nervous since there was no trial – but she was great! then dani and i were off to the church. the day FLEW by! here are just some random pictures...

rehearsal and float trip

we had our rehearsal friday at st. johns chapel in downtown jackson. i think i was more confused and nervous after the rehearsal because i had no clue what was going on.

after the rehearsal we headed to jackson lake lodge for some cocktails before the float trip...

for our rehearsal dinner michael's parents set up a cook out along the banks of the snake river {complete with a campfire and s'mores} with a float trip afterwards. it was so much fun and a great way for all the guests to get to do an activity while in jackson!
