jackson hole

this past weekend my mom, michael’s mom, and i headed to jackson hole to do some pre-wedding things. it was a quick trip but we were able to get a lot done and had a great time in the process!

friday morning we had a meeting with the photographer at lotus café. mom was brave and tried the tofu and breakfast patty. {i played it safe with the strawberry smoothie while mrs. holden stuck with coffee}.

followed by a meeting with the caterer...

then lunch. my absolute favorite: billy’s burger.

we shopped the rest of the afternoon, then rode the gondola up the mountain to check out the view and the SNOW!

after a hard day’s work we headed to the four seasons for drinks and dessert. the margarita was delicious...

but i think mom’s chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of cookies n cream ice cream in a cast iron skillet took the cake...

on saturday we headed to check out the chapel where we’ll get married….

then on to check out lost creek ranch {the reception site}.

when trying to find a place for the reception michael and i knew we wanted to take advantage of the teton views and have something laid back and fun. mom and i booked it without actually seeing it – so we were relieved to see it in person. here is the site where we will have the tents set up with full on views of the tetons.

and across the way lots of these guys will be hanging out...

for the rehearsal dinner michael and his family are thinking of doing a float trip and cookout along the snake river. i love the idea of having everyone who traveled so far get the opportunity to do this while they are here. so we went to jackson lake lodge to meet with them about the trip and grabbed some lunch with an awesome view.

on the way back to jackson we ran across these guys….

susie had us over to her house that night for a wonderful home cooked meal. we had a great time eating, drinking, and laughing the night away.

* thank you mrs. holden for all the great pictures!
