tripp is 2!

on saturday michael and i drove to atlanta to celebrate tripp’s birthday. the theme of the party was “little man” {suspenders, bow ties, mustaches, glasses, etc.}. as usual, megan had every detail covered.

modern family

my favorite show at my favorite ranch {where our reception was}!? probably won't happen, but still pretty neat.

Caption: Jim Bagdonas, director of photography for the ABC television show Modern Family, snaps photos of the Teton Range on Monday from the Lost Creek Guest Ranch near the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park during a scouting trip for the show's fall season premier. See this week's Jackson Hole News&Guide for a story on the possibility of the show filming in Jackson Hole.

wedding day!

i slept horribly the night before the wedding so i was awake at 3:30am ready to go. mom and i headed to the ranch around 7am to check out the tent and drop off the linens and liquor. i had prayed for no rain for months but didn’t even think about WIND. it was sooo windy the cocktail tables were being blown over. then the sound equipment arrived and it seemed like it would take up the entire tent. so we were freaking out. what should have been about an hour turned into 4 trying to figure everything out. in the end we just left and let the caterer figure it all out. so then we were super rushed to take showers and grab something to eat before leslee anne arrived to do hair and makeup. i was a little nervous since there was no trial – but she was great! then dani and i were off to the church. the day FLEW by! here are just some random pictures...

rehearsal and float trip

we had our rehearsal friday at st. johns chapel in downtown jackson. i think i was more confused and nervous after the rehearsal because i had no clue what was going on.

after the rehearsal we headed to jackson lake lodge for some cocktails before the float trip...

for our rehearsal dinner michael's parents set up a cook out along the banks of the snake river {complete with a campfire and s'mores} with a float trip afterwards. it was so much fun and a great way for all the guests to get to do an activity while in jackson!

wedding week

a quick recap of the wedding week: michael and i headed out to jackson hole on july 4th to get ready for the big day!

in denver keeping a watchful eye on the dress along the way....

we had to go to the boot barn to get michael some cowboy gear for the rodeo that night...

on tuesday i hiked snow king {the ski slope in town} just for some quick exercise before the craziness began....

then i went back and started assembling all the guest baskets...

michaels parents arrived and checked into their awesome house...
maggie and vicki relaxing and enjoying the nice weather....
on wednesday the white family arrived. mary helen and me...

dani arrived on thursday. we went to eat at dornan's for lunch....
and went to the cowboy bar for a couple of drinks and to sit on the saddle barstools....

i thought the week was going to be pretty relaxing - i would be able to go on hikes, eat out at all the fun restaurants, and just enjoy jackson. instead it was pretty crazy all week {found out on tuesday that we had no power at our reception site} and the majority of my "meals" were the leftover chips and granola bars from the guest baskets. in the end it turned out perfect and well worth all the stress! more to come!
